Now it has hit the next big blockbuster of the year. Wonder Woman 1984 also cannot avoid the coronavirus crisis and the start is postponed.
The start of Diana Prince’s second solo adventure was actually scheduled for June 4, 2020, in Germany. This date has now been postponed to August 14, 2020, in the United States. In Germany, the new start date may appear to be August 13th.
And Wonder Woman 1984 comes to the cinema. A start in streaming was never planned. The film was planned for the big screen and will also be shown there, says director Patty Jenkins.
Patty Jenkins: “We made Wonder Woman 1984 for the big screen and I firmly believe in the power of cinema. In these bad times, in which cinema operators suffer like many others, we are happy to bring our film to the cinema of your choice on August 14, 2020. And we pray for better times until then. “
