WhatsApp new feature allows users to use avatars as profile photo

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to use a figurine as their avatar when using the instant messaging service. The upcoming feature was spotted on the WhatsApp Android app by well-known leaker WABetainfo a few days ago, but that doesn’t mean the feature will be limited to Android users. Avatar profile photos will also be available on other platforms, according to the leaker.

The avatar of the doll image is to let the user choose the doll image they like. As shown in the screenshot, users can also choose a background color of their choice when creating the figurine. The instant chat messaging platform will introduce avatar support for more than just the profile photo section. WhatsApp is also working on another feature that will allow users to display figurines during video calls.

Currently, these features are not available to beta testers, which means you can’t test them even if you sign up as a beta member. But WhatsApp will most likely introduce these new features to beta users first. But unfortunately, we don’t know when it will go live for beta testers or the public.
