Google Meet was declared some prospective changes before few months such as improved video quality with high-quality video. And also added some new features for the students like hand-raising and background blurring for video call.
Google detailed the new features during yesterday’s Google for Education event. In a blog post, in Short, if you want the privacy of your messy background so these new features will so great for you. You can do blur or replace your background if you want. And most probably this feature will apply at the starting of this October.
If talking about the hand-raising features so it will so beneficial for those teachers and students who are doing work at home so in this users will get an easier process to start and there is no need to face sound interrupted.
And a new polling feature for G Suite Enterprise for Education customers (shown below) will provide a way for teachers to engage students with questions without breaking the flow of the lesson.
Two more features are coming to Google Meet in September, including:
- A larger tiled view with a 7×7 grid so you can see up to 49 participants at once
- A collaborative whiteboard with Jamboard in Meet so you can encourage students to share ideas and try creative approaches to lessons
In October, Google Meet will also introduce attendance tracking and breakout rooms, so educators can split classes into small groups.
Well after this Google will going to update itself more. There will also a new facility in which you can record video and share it till 30 days after that it will automatically del.
Not only this on the online classes teacher can expel those students who try to interrupt the class and you can lock the lobby so that students need your permission to get into your class.
But the favor is for both side teachers as well as students too. So for a student, there also gives some functions such as if you want to leave the class you can leave any time and you can join that class too.
Well in the age of social Distancing this function of video conferencing will be proved itself so powerful and upgrade their users too.
