Samsung Display will produce 34-inch QD-OLED panels for display products

According to TFT Central, Samsung Display will produce 34-inch QD-OLED panels for display products. Recently, Samsung announced the details of the QD-OLED panel technology. This new panel uses organic OLED materials as the light source and quantum dot (QD) materials as the coating. Currently, Samsung usually adds quantum dot coatings on LCD panels to provide enhanced color and light gamut.

Samsung Display will mass produce 65-inch, 55-inch and 34-inch QD-OLED panels, and then decide whether to increase production based on market response. This series of products is said to start production on November 30, 2021, which may mean that the first 34-inch OLED displays will be unveiled next year.

In addition to Samsung, LG is expected to launch a 42-inch OLED TV/monitor soon. More news will be announced at CES 2022. Please pay attention to the detailed report of IT House.
