At the I/O developer conference held a few months ago, Google previewed the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro models. The official news that has been confirmed so far is that these two models will be equipped with second-generation Tensor chips. After the live images were exposed one after another, the hands-on videos of these two models were also exposed recently.
Streamer Louis used a caliper to measure the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro models. The Pixel 6 Pro has a body size of 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm, while the Pixel 7 Pro is basically the same size but narrowed to 73.2mm in width and 0.1mm in thickness. However, the thickness in the camera area is the same as the previous generation, at 11.5 mm. The Pixel 7 is shorter and narrower than the Pixel 6. The Pixel 6 is 158.6mm long and 14.9mm thick, while the Pixel 7 is 13.2mm thick.
The Pixel 7 Pro’s edge display doesn’t seem to be as aggressively tapered, with its camera bar and chassis having a polished finish, while the one on the Pixel 7 has a more anodized aluminum look. We also noticed that these models don’t have a two-tone finish like the Pixel 6 series. Maybe that’s because they’re prototype hardware.
According to previous rumors, the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will be available for pre-order on October 6, with general availability on October 13.
