Recently, Lenovo/HP’s new generation of gaming laptops was leaked and is said to be powered by Intel i7-12700H processors. Today, a higher specification i7-12800H also appeared in the Geekbench running sub-platform.
According to the data of the Geekbench running sub-platform, this i7-12800H has 14 cores and 20 threads, that is, 6 large cores + 8 small cores, clocked at 2.8GHz, and 24MB L3 cache. For comparison, the recently exposed i7-12700H has 14 cores and 20 threads, but the main frequency is slightly lower at 2.7GHz.
In addition, i9-12900HK also has 14 cores and 20 threads, with a clocked frequency of 2.9GHz. It can be seen that next year, the i7 and i9 models of Intel’s new-generation H processor will be the same chip. The difference lies in the difference in physique and whether it can be overclocked.
At present, gaming notebooks equipped with the new i7 and i9 are beginning to appear on the running sub-platform, up to the RTX 3080 Ti mobile version with a standalone display. It is expected that the new generation of gaming notebooks will be launched at CES in January next year.
