Google Chrome browser to have built in screenshot function

Google Chrome browser is continuously growing with its latest features. Its the latest Chrome 94 in the Android version have screenshot function, but there is no desktop version of the screenshot tool.

According to XDA reports, the latest Chrome 98 Canary version has two flags related to screenshots in chrome://flags:

#sharing-desktop-screenshots

#sharing-desktop-screenshots-edit

Once both of these flags are set to “enabled”, a screenshot option will appear in the small airplane menu in the Chrome address bar . When the user clicks to take a screenshot, he can drag the mouse to select a part of the current webpage. Release the mouse to capture the screenshot and save it to the clipboard. The user can click the “download” button to save it as a file.

Unlike the screenshot function in Firefox, Chrome’s screenshot tool does not currently have a scrolling screenshot option, and users cannot select a custom folder for screenshot files , and will always be saved to the user’s “download” Folder.

In addition, there is an “Edit” button on the screenshot pop-up window, but the function has not been developed so far, only a blank page will be opened. It is not clear what options will be provided in Chrome’s screenshot editor, and basic functions such as drawing and blur are expected.
