On October 03, Apple iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 allow users to set third-party apps as the default browser apps for iPhone and iPad. In addition, users can also set third-party applications such as Google Gmail as the default mail application for iOS devices.
According to The Verge, due to the presence of sensitive information in emails, Apple told developers that email applications “must meet specific functional standards to ensure the privacy and accuracy of user access. “This also means that all third-party email applications may take some time to adapt the software to meet Apple’s requirements.

How To: Users can open the “Settings” application, scroll down to these mailbox applications in the application list, and select “Default Mail Application” to set the application as the default email application on iPhone or iPad.
