H2OS for OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro Android 11 Public Beta announced

OnePlus has officially rolled out the H2OS (HydrogenOS) Android 11 Public Beta update which brings system optimizations including call experience as well as improved the calendar. Below you can check the full changelog and the download links.

OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro Changelog:

System:

  • Optimize the fluency of the call interface.
  • Fix the crash issue of some third-party apps.
  • Fix the problem of the low probability of microphone failure during a call.
  • Fix the issue that the calendar widget may display abnormally in dark mode.
  • Improve system stability.

Gallery:

  • Optimize the loading speed of the gallery.

From the stable version of OnePlus 8 /8 Pro to the public beta version of Android 11 tutorial:

  • Before upgrading the mobile phone system, it is recommended to use OnePlus to back up mobile phone data.
    If you use OnePlus Moving to back up data, the recommended operation path is:
  • Select OnePlus Moving -> Backup and Restore -> New Backup -> Backup Complete;
  • Connect the phone to the computer -> Enter the phone folder -> Internal storage space -> Copy the opbackup folder -> Copy and save the folder to a computer or other storage device;
  • After successfully flashing back to the public beta, copy the opbackup folder back to the root directory of the phone -> OnePlus Move -> Backup and Restore -> Restore the backup.
  • Download the latest ROM upgrade compressed package from the designated server.
  • Copy the ROM upgrade compressed package to the phone storage.
  • Settings -> System upgrade -> Gear icon in the upper right corner -> Local upgrade -> Click on the corresponding installation package -> Upgrade now -> System upgrade completed to 100%.
  • Select restart.
  • After restarting, successfully upgrade the Android 11 public beta version.
