Google after Apple removed Fortnite game from its Play Store due to violating policy

After Apple, Google has also removed Fortnite from its App Store ‘Play Store’. This action accrues by violating its core policy. Due to this other games like Battleroyal introduced a direct payment option to bypass giving a cut of in-app purchases to Google.

Google always looks at the customer’s privacy manner, this is the reason the biggest tech giant took action against Fortnite.

Google issued the following statement:

“The open Android ecosystem lets developers distribute apps through multiple app stores. For game developers who choose to use the Play Store, we have consistent policies that are fair to developers and keep the store safe for users. While Fortnite remains available on Android, we can no longer make it available on Play because it violates our policies. However, we welcome the opportunity to continue our discussions with Epic and bring Fortnite back to Google Play.”

Prior to this users are not able to download the game via Play Store as well as Apple App Store. If you still want to get this game you need to download it directly from the official Fortnite website

To recall, in 2018, the company brought the game to Android via a direct install on its website. In December of last year, Epic tried to get a special billing exemption from Google. Four months later, the game was launched on Google Play.
