Google is working on its browser to make it easier and unique in each update. According to the source, Chrome OS Canary version 8 will bring new circular icons for all web, Android, and Linux apps starting with Chrome OS 86.
This new design is rumored from the last year and some of the tech giants already confirmed this update. Ahead of the launch of the Pixelbook Go screenshots of an internal Google Doc showing that Chrome OS would get a handful of new apps on its shelf by default.
Last versions of Chrome OS Canary, apps like Stadia and Gmail that previously simply used their raw icon now appear with a white circle behind them. Many web apps like Photopea adapt to the circular design by using a different icon.
