Will Airpods have touch sensors in the future?

The AirPods have conquered the TWS market in recent years, but this does not mean that Apple has not rested and looking to offer enhanced features.

One of the biggest examples was the integration of spartial sound in the AirPods Pro and even through a firmware update.

Through new patents, we learn about Apple’s future plans in the field of TWS. As we can see from the picture, the company intends to integrate touch sensors in the headphones, in order to offer improved motion control.

To date, Apple headphones have used pressure sensors to control them, which while protecting the user from accidental presses, but limits the choice of movements. Either way, surely the company will have to find a way to get rid of the random touches that touch technology can bring.

Of course, AirPods already have a sensor to detect whether the user is wearing them or not, so the problems will be reduced anyway, compared to the touch suggestions of other companies.
