Verizon: September 2020 patch update rolling out to Galaxy S9 and S9+

Verizon has started rolling out September 2020 security patch update for Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphone users in the US. The latest update comes with the build number QP1A.190711.020.G960USQS8ETH5 for Galaxy S9 and QP1A.190711.020.G965USQS8ETH5 for Galaxy S9+. There are no changes noted in this update only other latest security patches with bug fixes.

User-Initiated Software Update
This process allows a user to navigate through the device options to seek updates.

  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps, tap Settings > System updates > Check for system updates.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. If your device finds a new software update, tap Download now. When complete, a screen will appear advising you that the new version of the software is ready to be installed. Tap Install update.
  3. The device will power down and power back on. A screen will appear stating that the installation has been completed. Tap OK.

You’ve successfully updated your software.
