TikTok banned 150,000 accounts in February

Douyin can be said to be one of the hottest apps at present. As of January 5, 2020, the number of daily active users of Douyin has exceeded 400 million. For the violations in the APP, the vibrato is also severely punished.

On March 20, Douyin released the Douyin Penalty Notice for Cheating and Violating Accounts and Contents. The notice stated that from February 1 to February 29, 2020, the Douyin platform cleared a total of 140860 videos, 35781. Audio, 740 challenges, and permanently banned 151,922 accounts.

During the epidemic prevention and control, Douyin continued to increase efforts to clean up wildlife-related videos on the platform, and a total of 49,543 were cleared.

Douyin proactively cracked down on platform fraud through strategy + manual methods and permanently banned a total of 33,539 fraud accounts.

The Douyin platform reminds users to increase awareness of network security precautions and to be alert to online fraud such as false fundraising, false sale of medical supplies, gambling, loans, rebates, and online part-time praisers, to avoid causing property damage.

According to the store intelligence data of the data analysis agency Sensor Tower, in February this year Douyin and its overseas version of TikTok topped the global mobile application (non-game) download list with nearly 113 million downloads, an increase of 96.5% compared to 2019. The report shows that India is still the largest download market for TikTok, accounting for 41.3%.
