Most might be anticipating the up and coming age of consoles, with the up and coming Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 expected in a couple of months, yet new documentary returns us to the start of Sony and the making of the PlayStation.
“The PlayStation Revolution” is the second documentary in the ” From Bedrooms to Billions “series, a Kickstarter production featuring stories from the video game industry. The new documentary is exclusively about the PlayStation, from the conception of the idea and its creation to the PlayStation 4, talking about the successes, the difficulties but also about how Sony decided to enter the industry.
The documentary includes interviews with people such as the president and CEO of Sony, Jim Ryan, the architect of the console Mark Cerny, but the creator of the series Metal Gear Solid, Hideo Kojima. There will be snapshots of games we’ve loved all these years, but also a special edition, which will include a second DVD with information on the creation of WipeOut and Gran Turismo, as well as details on the PlayStation development kit Known as Net Yaroze.
