Thai hospital is using “ninja robot” to fight new Crownvirus

According to foreign media BGR reports, hospitals in Thailand have begun using “ninja robots” to reduce the burden of medical workers and doctors fighting to curb the spread of the coronavirus. According to Agence France-Presse, these robots were originally used to monitor patients with stroke, but have now been used to measure the fever of patients.

These “Ninja Robots” are all black and they look very cute. According to news reports, the robots were initially used to monitor stroke patients during rehabilitation. They have been re-used to monitor fever patients, reducing the burden on front-line doctors who have been working to control the spread of the deadly virus. Now, it is worrying that doctors and nurses may be infected by patients who are providing care to them, but these robots also allow medical staff to stand outside the patient’s room and communicate internally with them through the robot.

Viboon Sangveraphunsir of Chulalongkorn University told AFP that more variants of these robots are being planned for use in places like disinfection rooms, or to perform tasks such as providing food and medicine to patients. According to Agence France-Presse, as of Thursday, the robots have been used in four hospitals in and around Bangkok. In addition, those reporting hospitals found a reduced risk of infection.

Sangveraphunsiri is part of a team of engineers at the university, which plans to build more robots for at least 10 hospitals in the area. According to data from Johns Hopkins University, Thailand has so far confirmed 599 new corona cases, including one death.
