Tesla Model Y registered 103,000 new cars in the US in H1 2022

The latest data from research institutions show that Tesla has dominated the US luxury car market in the first half of this year, with nearly 230,000 new registrations, more than BMW and Mercedes-Benz. New registrations are high for luxury car makers.

According to data from research institutes, Tesla dominated the U.S. luxury car market in the first half of the year thanks to the Model Y and Model 3, two best-selling electric vehicles. Data from the agency shows that Tesla Model Y registered 103,215 new vehicles in the US market in the first half of the year, making it the electric vehicle with the highest number of new registrations. The Model 3 followed with 97,075 new registrations in the first half of the year.

Since the Texas Gigafactory has been put into operation in the first half of this year, the production capacity of Model Y in production is still increasing. Model 3 will be more. Tesla is currently delivering four models of electric vehicles. In addition to Model Y and Model 3, there are also Model S and Model X, which were launched earlier and cost more.

These two models were launched in the U.S. market in the first half of this year. There were 15,317 and 13,382 electric vehicles registered, respectively the fourth and fifth highest electric vehicles in the US market in the first half of the year.
