Qualcomm wants to supply chip to Huawei

According to the Wall Street Journal report, Qualcomm is looking to supply its own chips and working to take permission from the US government, which will allow them to work with Huawei (Chinese biggest tech giant). Starting from September 15 onwards it will have to find a new supplier to build its chips.

According to Qualcomm, the ban will not prevent Huawei from acquiring the necessary components to create new chips. On the other hand, this could lead to billions of dollars outside the US, to companies like MediaTek and Samsung.

For now, we can not list any confirmation, it is still not clear what the company is asking for, as other companies such as Intel, Micron and Xilinx have been licensed, it is certainly very difficult to do. The smartphone market is one of the key pieces for Huawei and such a license would show great relief in the face of exclusions.
