In July, OnePlus released the OnePlus Buds. Despite their excellent battery life and affordable prices, OnePlus’ TWH (True Wireless Headsets) cannot manage certain settings or get firmware updates if they are used with non-OnePlus phones.
According to a question & answer on the OnePlus website, this situation should change in the future because the OnePlus Buds app will be available on other Android devices. “Q&A” did not give a specific timetable, and OnePlus did not answer questions about when the app will be widely released.
Currently, you can check out the OnePlus Buds App in the Google Play store, but the App’s instructions say that it can only be installed on OnePlus devices. All the functions of this application will be integrated into the stable version of the mobile phone firmware.
As for the application store, it is OnePlus to update it conveniently. OnePlus said that the final version of the application will support all Android phones with Android 6.0 and above, including older OnePlus phones such as OnePlus 3, 3T, 5, and 5T.
