OnePlus: Back to the roots and create a device ecosystem

The OnePlus was and remains one of the leading companies in the smartphone market but in recent years has changed little direction regarding the prices of smartphones. The Chinese company came to market with flagship killer smartphones which had top technical features at a low price. Over the years, however, the Chinese company has added more and more premium features to its smartphones that have also affected the cost of smartphones. As a result, the latest OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are priced at around € 1,000.

It seems that the Chinese company wants to return to its roots since, in addition to cheap smartphones, it also wants to create its own ecosystem. So far, OnePlus has launched smartphones, headphones, and TVs.

More specifically, Navnit Nakra, VP and Chief Strategy Officer of OnePlus India revealed that the company has decided to expand from premium and super-premium devices to premium and affordable devices in the country. In addition, it revealed two important points in the strategy that OnePlus will follow in the near future. One will focus on consumers who value quality and excellent prices, while the other will focus on people who want to build an ecosystem.

Based on this tactic, OnePlus is preparing to announce new affordable TVs on July 2 as well as a new mid-range smartphone, possibly called the OnePlus X. Finally, the release of an OnePlus Z or OnePlus Nord that was previously available has recently been announced. leaked under the name OnePlus 8 Lite.
