Microsoft pushes Win10 20H2 Beta preview version 19042.330 update

Microsoft officially announced Windows 10 version 20H2 as the next feature update for Windows 10. The 20H2 feature update will be a set of features, including the new Microsoft Edge browser based on Chromium.

As part of today’s release, Microsoft will also release 20H2 Build 19042.330 to the Beta channel (slow channel). This version contains the KB4557957 patch fix and the new Microsoft Edge. After updating to today’s version, Microsoft Edge will be updated to a new version of Microsoft Edge based on Chromium.

Microsoft said that it will release Build 19042.330 to beta users in the Beta channel through the “Explorer” experience in Windows Update. This means that “Internal Tester” will need to go to “Settings”> “Update and Security”> “Windows Update” and then choose to download and install the 20H2 system.

Once the internal testers update their PC to the 20H2 version, they will continue to automatically receive new 20H2 updates through Windows Update (such as the monthly update process). Over time, this process will provide more new features and improvements.

In Windows 10 19H2, Microsoft opened functions for some people and closed functions for some people. Microsoft has not adopted this approach on Windows 10 20H2 in response to feedback from insiders. The internal testers choose to download and install 20H2 on their PC, and they will get the new functions of 20H2 when they are delivered. If beta testers do not choose to download and install 20H2, they will not see the new features.
