Lenovo: August upgrade of Windows 10 can damage your computer

Can Windows is the most widely used operating system of the computer market, but one of the biggest problems is compatibility with the thousands of components used by computer manufacturers. It seems that the new update can be disastrous for Lenovo device users.

Lenovo warns its users that the August 2020 Update of the 2004 version of Windows 10 may reveal users to the Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) during the boot, at the start of Lenovo Vantage and against the scan for threats through Windows Defender.

Also, the upgrade may not allow you to use Windows Hello, as well as cause problems with the ” Device Manager ” on the Intel Management Engine and IR Camera. The problem seems to be the new Enhanced Windows Biometric Security, with disabling it through the BIOS Setup -> Security -> Virtualization menu being the only solution at the moment.

If you turn off this feature, there will be no problem with the upgrade. The site WindowsLatest says other PC companies have the same problem, but for the moment the Lenovo is the only one that acknowledges its existence.
