Gran Turismo 7: 3 new cars coming with next week’s update

Gran Turismo 7 will receive an update next week, which will bring three new cars to the available fleet, introduced as usual by the traditional Kazunori Yamauchi tweet showing the partially visible silhouettes, letting fans guess what it is.

We see below the tweet in question from the head of Polyphony Digital and the teaser seems to have already been unveiled by the usual GTPlanet experts, although there is still no official announcement.

According to what is reported by the site in question, the three cars appear to be:

  • Porsche Cayman GT4
  • 1969 Pontiac GTO “The Judge”
  • McLaren Honda MP4/4

It seems to be a nice assortment of cars, from quite different eras and contexts. The Porsche Cayman (left) is the most recent, being dated 2015 and the initiator of the GT4 series, while the Pontiac represents the world of muscle cars within this update.

Particularly interesting is the 1988 McLaren-Honda MP4 / 4, which represents a historic car as it is still the most successful Formula 1 car, having won 15 of the 16 world championship races held in that year, as well as at 15 pole positions. On the other hand, the drivers were Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost.

We, therefore, await information on the release date of the next update and the complete contents, in the meantime, it emerged that the new AI Sophy could arrive earlier than expected, while last month we saw the trailer of the collaboration between Gran Turismo 7 and Dior.
