By region, sales in North America are gradually weakening. Especially for Apple, the growth rate of sales in Europe and the United States has slowed, but the demand for Apple watches in the Chinese market is steadily increasing. Canalys blames North American users’ attention on AirPods.

The first quarter of the Chinese market increased by about 66% compared with the same period last year, and it is currently the world’s largest smartwatch market. Due to the adoption of eSIM and the promotion of Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, and other manufacturers, Canalys expects that the Chinese market will become the main source of smartwatch growth in 2020.
