The market to date has seen several foldable smartphones but so far Apple has been left out and has not claimed a piece of the pie. According to information leaked recently, the American giant will follow in the footsteps of the Surface Duo and will not look like other foldable smartphones on the market such as the Mate X, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Fold and others.
This foldable iPhone or as it may be called is rumored to be released as soon as possible next year. The leak claims that the notch will be missing from the smartphone and that there will be no face recognition technology since the unlocking of the device will be undertaken by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The development of Apple’s foldable smartphones will be undertaken by Hon Hai, Daliguang, Kenheng, and others with Hon Hai being responsible for the early development.
