Apple: Hacker discovered bugs on the iPhone’s camera and received $ 75,000

Technology hackers are separated into three classifications: ethical hackers or white hat hackers, dim hat hackers and black hat hackers. The third classification incorporates malicious users, who are “battling” the individuals who “wear” the white hat. One of them is Ryan Pickren, a previous security engineer at Amazon ‘s Web Services.

Ryan received $ 75,000 from the Apple Security Bounty program as he detected a significant vulnerability in the iPhone ‘s camera. In December 2019, Ryan distinguished seven zero-day bugs, three of which could be abused by one client.

To take advantage of these bugs, however, the phone owner must first be deceived through a malicious link. If the user gives access to the page in any way of teleconferencing then the hacker can gain direct access to the iPhone’s camera.

Ryan mentioned all the bugs in Apple through the Security Bounty program and the American giant gave him a reward of $ 75,000 through the program.
