MySmartPrice today released another certification that may be used for one of the iPhone 12 battery models, which is partially different from previous predictions.
The industry generally expects Apple to release four iPhones this fall, including a 5.4-inch model, two 6.1-inch models, and a 6.7-inch model. First, let’s review MySmartPrice’s previous predictions on the battery capacity of the iPhone 12 model:
- iPhone 12 (5.4 inches) – A2471 – 2,227mAh
- iPhone 12 Max (6.1 inches) – A2431 – 2,775mAh
- iPhone 12Pro (6.1 inches) – A2431 – 2,775mAh
- iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7 inches) – A2466 – 3,687mAh
The above specifications show that iPhone 12Max and iPhone 12Pro will share the same 2,775mAh battery. However, today’s information on the C3 and Safety Korea certification platforms indicate that one of the two 6.1-inch models may get a 2,815mAh battery (model A2479) with a larger capacity.
In the absence of confirmation from other sources, the battery capacity of different models is still a mystery. However, as pointed out in the previous report, the battery capacity of the iPhone 12 is generally lower than the current iPhone 11 product line. In fact, the battery life of the iPhone 11 Pro Max is the longest in the history of the iPhone, 5 hours longer than the iPhone XS Max.
