Can the Huawei is still at war with the US government, the ban still keeps a year and prevent the company from doing business with US companies, but it seems not to give up and even preparing to become completely independent?
In an effort to show how independent it can really be, Huawei has introduced its own desktop PC, whose components are made up only of Chinese hardware. To achieve this, the company used its own ARM-based processor, Kunpeng 920, which is octa-core at 2.6GHz and manufactured using the 7nm method.
According to the video, Huawei’s PC is expected to cost around 1,130 USD. What we’re seeing right now is a prototype and not the end product, with YouTuber talking about performance issues, non-support for 32-bit applications, and problematic streaming in 4K resolution. Anyway, Huawei seems ready to leave everything behind and become truly independent.
