Smartphones may now have become monsters of features, cameras, and screens, but the battery still remains the weak point of most today. But Xiaomi seems to be taking it to another level, as it has developed a 120W charger, faster than any other manufacturer on the market. The charger, codenamed Xiaomi MDY-12-ED of 20V / 6A, seems to be ready for release, having been successfully certified by 3C.
Reports so far want Xiaomi to release a device that will support such fast wireless charging by the end of the year. There is a rumor that it may be released with the next smartphone in the Mi Mix series, but this is something we will have to see to believe.
But even if it has, with 120W fast charging, no matter how big the battery is, it will fully charge in just a few minutes, if we consider the smartphone charging times at the moment with the quadruple Watts.
