Xbox Insider Alpha Ring gamers can now select alternative default storage locations for different game kinds in the most recent version of the Xbox Insider Alpha Ring.
This means you can have your Series X|S optimized games installed immediately on your console’s SSD or Seagate expansion card. Meanwhile, backward-compatible games and programs do not require the benefits of a solid-state drive and may be kept automatically on an external hard disc or USB device.
This eliminates the need for users to switch between storage sites. This would be an excellent approach to maximize available storage space. A new tabbed UI in the Games and Apps area is another intriguing change included in the Insider preview released earlier this week.
