Microsoft’s modular and network-first operating system “Windows 10X” is expected to be launched on new hardware in the spring of 2021.
Some features of the operating system may be ported to Windows 10. Microsoft has already started to Investigate a new panel, which will change the way copy and paste work.
In the latest Windows 10 Build 20185, Microsoft has added a new panel that allows you to access the clipboard history, insert GIFs, emoticons, and even kaomoji.
In addition, Microsoft is also working on other improvements, including the Windows 10X touch keyboard and an improved “first-run” experience.

In addition to the new start menu and operation center, Windows 10X is also equipped with a new touch keyboard.
GIF and emojis are directly integrated into the user interface of the touch keyboard, so there is no need to click on a special emoji or GIF icon to insert related content.
The keyboard has a new search box in the upper right corner, you can quickly insert emoticons or GIFs by searching for specific emoticons or GIFs.
In addition, it also comes with a smooth design and a function called “Clipboard History”, which will list the items copied to the clipboard.
This new keyboard and other planned changes can ultimately improve the Windows 10 experience on tablets and 2-in-1 products.
First, run experience
With the launch of Windows 10X, Microsoft has also redesigned the first-run experience with a modern appearance. The Windows setup process, Microsoft account login interface, language, region, and other pages have a new look.
Windows 10 Build 20190 includes a new post-update experience, and Microsoft is also developing a new “first release” experience. Based on references found in the preview build, the new first-run experience may look a lot like Windows 10X.
This suggests that Microsoft may be developing a new starter or OOBE (out of the box experience), but we don’t know if and when these improvements will arrive.
Other improvements
In the preview version, Microsoft is also internally testing the features that will come with Windows Core OS (Windows 10X) next year. These include the new Bluetooth fly-out menu and voice input experience.
