Windows 10 settings will soon support uninstalling Chrome PWA apps

Microsoft developers have worked with Google to improve the native integration of Chrome’s progressive web application (PWA) with Windows 10.

Google is bringing features already supported by the Chromium version of Edge to the Chrome 86 browser. You will be able to uninstall the PWA application from the Windows 10 settings, and then you can uninstall the application from the Chrome browser.

This feature has been tested for a while, but the Chromium branch that developed it was abandoned. It has now been restored and incorporated into the Chrome 86 browser, which means that users should be generally available for some time to come.

Microsoft has been studying what they call the “hosted application model”, which has led to a surge in the way to install and run applications on Windows 10. In the recent example, users can stream through the “Your Phone” application. The Android application Pin is on the Windows 10 taskbar.
