HarmonyOS (HongMeng OS) is a new microkernel-based, distributed operating system designed to deliver a new user experience across all devices and scenarios.

According to Sina Finance, regarding the timing of the use of HarmonyOS on mobile phones, Huawei Consumer Business CEO and Huawei Managing Director Yu Chengdong said that this plan will not be released this year, and it will be possible next year.
At the 2019 Huawei Developer Conference, Yu Chengdong officially released its own operating system Hongmeng, called HarmonyOS in English.
It was previously reported that Huawei Hongmeng System will release version 2.0 at the Huawei Developer Conference held in September this year. This year’s version 2.0 will open up product terminals such as PCs, watches, and cars. In addition, at the 2020 Summit of the China Information Technology Association on August 7, Yu Chengdong revealed that this year Huawei’s smartwatch products will also be equipped with Hongmeng OS, and all of Huawei’s IoT products, including PCs, tablets, and even mobile phones, will be possible in the future.
