Watch Face Sharing

Users will be able to more easily adjust the watch face and will be able to integrate more than one “complication” in the watch face. For those who don’t know, complications are like widgets. Users will be able to share their custom faces and be able to download various more from the App Store.

Sleep Tracking

An important feature of smartwatches is the sleep monitoring function. Through it, users learn how to have healthier sleeping habits. These habits can be created through Wind Down.

The feature in watchOS 7 will also use the accelerometer, in order to calculate the hours of sleep as well as to detect if the user woke up during.

Automatic detection for hand washing

With the mockery of hitting the planet and changing many of our habits, Apple has taken care to incorporate a feature into watchOS that will automatically detect whether the user was washing their hands or not. If the user stops washing their hands before 20 seconds, the watch will remind you to continue for a while longer.

Sports

The Workout app now allows some new exercises like Core Training, Dance, Functional Strength Training and Cooldown. In addition, the Activity app has been renamed Fitness and will provide the most important information to the user.

Cycling and translation instructions

The watchOS 7 will offer cyclists instructions on how to get to their destination while with Siri’s help the translation will be done.

Finally, watchOS 7 will be available in the fall for the Apple Watch Series 3 and later and is only compatible with iPhone 6S and later as well as iOS 14.
