September 2020 security patch update rolling out to Pixel devices

Finally, Google releases Android 11 yesterday and the Pixel smartphones become the first device to feature Android 11 latest features. Android 11 brings Chat Bubbles, Conversations Improvement, More Secure Privacy, A New Music Control System, Enhanced Notifications Panel, and more.

If you are interested, you can update the devices immediately. Both factory images and OTA files are available for download and flashing. So everything as known.

The new updates are available for Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, and Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

The source code patches for the issues will be released for the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) in the next 48 hours. As always, it is split into 2 patches:

2020-09-01 Security Patch Level: This security patch level string comprises 20 security vulnerabilities classified as high and 3 as critical.2020-09-05 Security Patch Level: This security patch level string includes 24 security vulnerabilities classified as high and 5 as critical.
