Samsung S9 / Note9 will not get One UI 2.1 update

Samsung Galaxy Note9 and Galaxy S9 can also receive One UI 2.1 update. Samsung Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Z Flip are 1st equipped with One UI 2.1 system. Samsung S9 / Note9 upgrade state of affairs currently looks to change.

Foreign media Sammobile reports that Samsung can eventually unleash One UI 2.1 update for Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note10. this can be expected to launch in April.

One UI 2.1 brings some of the best Galaxy S20 features to the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note10. These features include Quick Share, Music Sharing, Video Professional Mode, Single Shot, Improved Night Mode, Night Interval Shooting, Clear View, Quick Crop, and more.

However, a recent notification sent by the Samsung Samsung membership app indicates that there may not be any plans to introduce One UI 2.1 to the Galaxy Note9 at the moment. This also means that the same generation of Galaxy S9 will not get corresponding updates.

The latest firmware for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 N960FXXU5DTC5 contains the latest March 2020 security patches, but it is not based on One UI 2.1.
