The Sharp Aquos Zero with 845 Snapdragon finally leaves Japan
Sharp has just announced that its Aquos Zero will finally hit its first international market as it goes on sale—outside Japan— in Taiwan. At just146g the company claims it's one of the light weight 6-inch smartphone in the market, but its internals are still nothing to frown at.
The Sharp Aquos Zero has the Snapdragon 845 which is paired with 6GB worth of RAM and 128GB non-expandable storage. It is constructed around a 6.2-inch curved OLED screen by Sharp with QHD+ resolution (1,440 x 2,992 px) and it features Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
On its back, you will find that it has only one camera with 22.6MP resolution and f/1.9 lens while the front camera is 8MP.
Running on the Android 9.0 pie, this device packs a 3,130 mAh battery and Sharp claims its light body weight is as a result the use of magnesium alloy and aramid fiber. Its also IP68-certified against water and dust.
However, it doesn't have a variety of colors as the only available color for the Aquos Zero is Meteorite Black and it costs TWD 19,990 ($648). The company has a free Bluetooth headset for those who order it before the end of February.
