New app with iTunes Movies and TV Shows coming to New Samsung Smart TVs
Just recently Samsung announced that it will offer its users the iTunes Movies and TV Shows app and AirPlay 2 support on its newest range of TVs. This new development makes them the first television manufacturer to actually feature this service and indeed the first non-Apple product to include iTunes.
This feature will allow owners of the televisions the ability to access their existing iTunes movies and TV show library and they will also be able to rent or purchase additional content.
Also, there are hundreds of thousands of movies and TV show episodes that Apple has along with the largest library of 4K HDR movies of any service.
The app would integrate with Samsung's Smart TV Services, such as Universal Guide and the old famous Bixby search. Other included supports include, the AirPlay 2 support which would allow users to stream content from their iOS or Mac devices to their television.
The 2019 Samsung Smart TV models have scheduled the time for shipping this feature in the spring, while the 2018 models will get it with a regular firmware update. This app will be available in over 100 countries and AirPlay 2 support will be available in a total of 190 countries.
