Macaulay Culkin is home alone again

Kevin McCallister is up to his old holiday hijinks. In an ad for google, Macaulay Culkin shared what his Home Alone character would be up to in the present day via a hilarious parody of the famous classic Christmas film.

“Hey google Have you ever wondered what Kevin McCallister is like as an adult?” the 38 year old actor tweeted on Wednesday, December 19. “Me neither. But just in case you’re curious you should totally watch this #ad.”

In a minute-long compilation, Culkin who still looks every much like himself, is home alone once more but is better able to enjoy it with the help of Google Assistant. “Operation Kevin” takes care of itself with a simple voice command to his device and the lights turn on, the door gets locked, the sets of mannequins roam around the room, and the thieves Kevin thwarted in the 1990 movie decide not to even stop by the home.

"Hey Google, what's on my calendar today?" McCallister asked, to which the virtual assistant replied: "You have one event called, 'House to yourself.'"

McCallister recreated iconic scenes from the movie, shaved his face, jumped on the bed, and decorated the Christmas tree all the while asking the assistant to set reminders for him. When he gets his pizza delivered, the Google Assistant helps him tell the worker: "Keep the change, you filthy animal."

Behind the scenes of the commercial, Culkin revealed that it was interesting going back and doing all of this stuff and that they did a very good job on the set decoration and the props and all the shots were really spot on.
