PlayStation 5: Sony’s new console has been officially announced

Sony last night played its last card and has officially revealed the design of the new PlayStation 5 which is expected to debut in the last quarter of the year. More specifically, Sony yesterday at its live event presented its two new consoles, which have only one difference. One has a 4K Blue-Ray drive while the other is absent. The two PlayStation is called PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition.

Design

The PS5 has significant design differences from its predecessor. Initially, it is designed to sit upright but of course, the user can place it vertically while the angles we met in the PS4 are absent. In addition, the PS5 is dressed in black and white as is the case with the DualSense controller that was announced some time ago. Once again, we see that Sony has decided to divide the PS5 into “slices”. Finally, the Digital Edition looks slightly thinner due to the absence of the 4K Blue-Ray drive.

At this point, it is worth noting that Sony has also prepared some accessories for those who want to go gaming one step further. More specifically, the new accessories are a charging station for the controller, a new HD camera, a Pulse 3D wireless headset, and a media remote.

Characteristics

The PS5 will have an AMD Zen 2 processor with 8 cores, a custom RDNA-2 based graphics card, 16GB of GDDR6 memory, and 825GB of storage. The Sony console will be able to provide 10.28 TFLOPS horsepower.

Price

The price of the two PlayStation 5 will be different from the Digital Edition is cheaper than the “normal” however there is no official information yet on where it will fluctuate.
