OnePlus is looking for 250 OnePlus 8 owners for the Closed Beta program

For some time now, OnePlus has been pursuing a strategy similar to that of Windows on how to distribute the builds of its operating system. The categories that one can choose are MP (fixed builds), Open Beta, and Closed Beta, with the latter usually only opening when the company is preparing significant additions.

It seems that the company is preparing something for the upcoming version of Oxygen OS, since in a post on the official forum it invites the owners of OnePlus 8 devices to participate in the Closed Beta program, while 250 of them will have the opportunity to participate. If this number seems small to you, let us remind you that it is the largest number of people the company has ever announced for the Closed Beta Program.

If you want to apply, you must have an unlocked and not an OnePlus 8 series provider model, be an active member of the OnePlus community and communicate on a regular basis with the company’s Slack team. You will need to provide feedback on the new features or buds you encounter in these versions, otherwise, there is a risk that you will be canceled by the company.

Also, those who are selected if they participate will have to sign an NDA with the company, ie a non-disclosure agreement of any element they encounter within the builds. Finally, some builds may need a clean installation to play properly, so those who dare try it have a ready backup.
