New Google TV box Chromecast Ultra exposure

A new generation of Google Chromecast Ultra will be introduced this year, it will be based on Android TV, and is equipped with programmable remote control.

Google launched its own TV box, Chromecast Ultra, as early as 2016. The device supports 4K and also has a Dolby Vision license to play higher quality HDR images on Dolby Vision-supported displays. But to this day, no follow-up products have been seen.

According to foreign media sources, Google is planning to launch a second-generation Chromecast Ultra this year, which will be based on Android TV and will also be equipped with remote control as an additional device. This remote has a built-in microphone, and users can use Google Assistant to control Chromecast. Interestingly, this remote also supports programming functions.

The new Chromecast Ultra will have a similar design to the third-generation Chromecast. The internal code of the device is “Sabrina”. Supports 4K HDR and has regular Chromecast Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

This new device should have been released at the Google I / O 2020 conference with the Pixel 4a, but with the cancellation of the Google I / O 2020 conference, the release date will also be postponed. No specific release date is known at this time.
