Mozilla Will Not Change Firefox Browser Release Shedule Time

Mozilla will not change the Firefox release schedule at this time. Previously, due to the outbreak of the new crown virus (Covid-19), Google and Microsoft have announced that they have suspended the update of Chrome and Chrome OS and the update of Microsoft Edge.  A few days ago, Google also released an updated Chrome and Chrome OS version update schedule.

According to Mozilla’s plan, the stable version of Firefox will continue to be updated every four weeks. Therefore, after Mozilla confirms that Firefox’s release schedule will not be affected by Covid-19, the next stable version of Firefox will be released on April 7, 2020 as planned.

Mozilla also pointed out that due to the current situation, its feature development may slow down. Although the release plan will not, it will affect, but this may mean that some planned features may be delayed. Next, the team will review these planned features and defer some non-critical changes based on the review.
