Microsoft employees can work at home until the end of October

A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed to Business Insider that the company notified employees on Monday that although the home order was gradually relaxed, they could still choose to work from home remotely until the end of October. Microsoft closed its office in March.

The Microsoft spokesperson said, “Although the home order is relaxed, employees can still choose to work from home until the end of October unless required by work or required by the local government.

Microsoft has more than 144,000 employees worldwide, of which about 85,000 are in the United States. Amazon announced last week that most employees can continue to work from home until October 2nd.

In Washington State, where Microsoft’s headquarters is located, the home order will end as early as May 31. It is unclear whether Microsoft will allow all employees to work in the company once the home order is over. The aforementioned Microsoft spokesperson did not mention this issue.
