With Sony having the rights to Spider-Man games and the release of the exclusive PlayStation 5 title, many have wondered if Marvel’s Avengers will be directly related to Sony games. But in the end, they are in completely different universes.
Bill Rosemann, head of the creative department at Marvel Games, announced in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the Spider-Man from Sony and Marvel’s Avengers happening in different universes.
As he said, every game is in the Marvel universe, but in its own, separate reality. Marvel also plans to keep things so that each game is separate and unrelated.
Be that as it may, the Spider-Man character in Marvel’s Avengers remains exclusive to Sony systems, even if the title is available on both PC and Xbox One.
But at least it was clear that the two games would have nothing to do with each other, otherwise, it would be an additional reason to get the PlayStation 4 version.
