Huawei Pay landed in Singapore

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd’s. the advanced wallet is presently available in Singapore, allowing Huawei users in the city-state to make cashless payments with their devices.

Huawei Pay was rolled out in the Southeast Asian market on April 3, a day in front of the P40 series’ appearance in Singapore. Users can empower Huawei Pay by adding their bank cards to the Huawei Wallet application, which comes preloaded in Huawei’s P40 smartphones. For older Huawei and Honor smartphone models, the application can be downloaded from Huawei AppGallery.

Huawei Pay supports near field communication payment and uses biometric authentication methods to ensure payment security. With these, users will be able to tap their Huawei smartphones to point-of-sale terminals to pay in stores.

Industrial & Commercial Bank of China Ltd.’s Singapore unit is the first lender to support Huawei Pay and is offering special benefits for ICBC UnionPay cardholders.
