Huawei’s AppGallery is the third largest app store in the world, although it’s practically new. The manufacturer is wooing developers to get apps for its platform. The latest is a revenue-sharing formula that gives developers up to 90 percent of the money they earn.
Google offers a 30:70 ratio for sharing between Google and its developers. The 90 percent of Huawei comes around the corner as a tempting offer.
Huawei ’90 percent of the revenue sharing is a preferential offer to all developers who accept the agreement before June 30, 2020. It is valid for 24 months and is valid from the moment the developers sign the agreement.
Google’s 30 percent for developers had already led to arguments. Last year, Epic Games refused to put its popular Fortnite game on the Google Play Store.
The gaming studio said the 30 percent that Google took from sales was too high.
