How to turn on the new Windows 10 Start Menu (Insiders)

Microsoft has released the new Windows 10 Start Menu to Windows Insiders program participants. However, only the daring of the Dev channel has access to the new menu, but even there users report that some still have the old menu, while others in the same version have the upcoming menu.

For users of Windows 10 20161, ie the simple participants in the Insiders program, there is a way to activate the new menu, without risking the bugs of Dev Channel build. This can be done thanks to developers Albacore and Raphael Rivera, who have released a tool for all Insiders to experience the new, cleaner look.

To activate the new Start Menu, first, make sure you have version 20161 of Windows 10 and not some older one.

  • Download the ViveTool file and export it
  • Start the command line as a programmer
  • Depending on where the ViveTool file is, enter the corresponding command: cd C: \ Users \ User \ Downloads \ ViveTool-v0.2.0
  • Place the command: ViveTool.exe addconfig 236156182
  • Restart

The activation of the new menu is complete. Unfortunately, we could not confirm the above commands, but from the comments of the users, it seems to work smoothly. If you follow the guide above, tell us your impressions of the new look of Windows 10!
