Honor 20i, Honor Play 8 and Honor Play 3e receiving new EMUI updates

Honor has started pushing out new software updates for the Honor 20i, Honor Play 8 and Honor Play 3e smartphone users. The update includes security patches released in the month of July and August 2020. Check the changelog below.

Honor 20i EMUI 10.0.0.168 Changelog: [104MB]

• Honor 20i AAPE Edition – HRY-AL00T
• Version Update: 10.0.0.164 → 10.0.0.168

Integrates Android security patches released in August 2020 for improved system security.

Honor Play 8 and Honor Play 3e July 2020 Security Changelog:

• Models: Honor Play 8 (KSA-AL00) & Honor Play 3e (KSA-AL10)
• Version update:  Honor Play 8 (9.1.0.156 → 9.1.0.157) & Honor Play 3e (9.1.0.175 → 9.1.0.176)

Note: The update is currently rolling in China.

Check for the OTA update in Settings manually, just tap Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates > Download and install.You can also update using the Support app. Open the app, go to Support app> Services>Update> Check for Updates> Download & Install. (Get the latest version of the Support app).
