Honor 10 Youth Edition and Honor Play receiving a new monthly software update

Honor 10 Youth Edition (Honor 10 Lite) and Honor Play users now able to update their smartphone with the latest software update. Honor 10 Youth Edition receiving August 2020 security patch update in China.

Honor Play getting a new software update, which comes with fixes for calling, optimizations for the camera, and smart features including Huawei Assitant, Huawei Browser, Smart Charge mode, as well July 2020 security patch.

The latest update comes with build number 10.0.0.168 for Honor 10 Youth Edition and 9.1.0.308 (3.95GB) for Honor Play.

This update incorporates the Android security patch to enhance the security of the mobile phone system.

Security – Integrated Android security patches released in August 2020 for improved system security.

Honor Play Changelog

Calls – Fixes an issue where Explicit Call Transfer would not work in certain situations.

Camera – Changes the default status of certain Camera settings.

Huawei Assistant – Adds Huawei Assistant to the home screen providing smart reminders, personalized news, and other content relevant to you.

Apps – Adds the Huawei Browser app, providing you with secure, convenient web browsing and searching services.

Battery – Adds the Smart Charge mode, reducing battery aging by adapting to your charging routine through AI learning and preventing the battery from being continuously charged when full. (This feature is enabled by default.)

Adds the Smart Battery Capacity feature, reducing battery aging by intelligently adjusting the battery capacity according to the battery status. Go to Settings > Battery > More battery settings and enable Smart Battery Capacity to try it out.

Security – Integrates Android security patches released in July 2020 for improved system security.

How To Update?

Via system settings, Just tap on Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates and Download it!

Via the Hicare (Now known as Support) app: HiCare > Quick Services -> Update > Check for updates.
